Architect Kiến trúc sư Huỳnh Tấn Phát (1913 - 1989) was born in Châu Hưng village, Bình Đại district, Bến Tre province. In 1944, he was Chairman of the Thanh Niên magazine, the voice of young intellectuals. He joined the Việt Nam Communist Party in 1945 and has since held many important position in the party and the government of Việt Nam such as: Chairman of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Việt Nam (1969 - 1976), Deputy Prime Minister and Vice Chairman of the State Council of the Socialist Republic of Việt Nam…
