Nguyễn Văn Linh was born on the first of July, 1915 at Giai Phạm, Yên Mỹ, Hưng Yên. He ws the General Secretery of the Việt Nam Communist Party for the 6th term (1986 - 1991). The 6th Congress of the Việt Nam Communist Party began the renovation cause. In the position of a leader of the Việt Nam Communist Party, he guided the Việt Nam revolutionary cause with a proactive, creative and consistent spirit to obtain the great and important achievements that have signification contributed to the economic development paths of Việt Nam.
To honor his great contributions, on the first of July, 2015, the SRV Ministry of Information and Communications issues the stampset “Birth Centenary of Nguyễn Văn Linh (1915 - 1998)” with 1 value of 3,000 đ.
